Join the Wilson Collegiate Tennis Camp at the University of Puget Sound for an unforgettable week of tennis! Led by UPS Head Tennis Coach Matt Simons, this camp offers young players a chance to learn, compete, and improve their game in a fantastic environment. Taking place at the Tennis Pavilion on UPS’s campus in Tacoma, WA, campers will enjoy one of the premier indoor court facilities in the Northwest.

This summer, we’ll offer three weeks of camp with both full-day and half-day options. Each camper will benefit from personalized attention, top-level instruction, skill-building drills, and exciting game play in a friendly and competitive atmosphere. Campers will be grouped by age and skill to ensure tailored training, with beginners focusing on technique and fundamentals, and advanced players sharpening their strategies and match play skills.

CAMP DETAILS

CAMP DATES:

  • Session I: August 8-10, 2025
  • Session II: August 11-15, 2025
  • Session III: August 18-22, 2025

TIMES:

  • Full Day Option: 8am – 2:30pm daily
  • Half Day Option: 8am – 11am daily

FEES:

Session I

  • Full Day – $425

Session II and III

  • Full Day – $625 per week

AGES:

  • Boys and Girls ages 7-18 of all skill levels.
  • Camps are open to any and all.

Grouping:

  • Kids are grouped by skill, age and experience. Often these groups change throught the course of the camp.

Safety:

  • Camp safety is our number one priority. All efforts are made to ensure that the kids are safe throughout the camp. Safety will be prioritized over tennis and activities when necessary. The camp, Wilson Sporting Goods, Premier Sports camps and its coaches and universities are not responsible for personal items brought to camp.

Tennis Head Coach

University of Puget Sound

The 2024-25 year was Matt Simons’ seventh as head coach of the Puget Sound men’s and women’s tennis teams. By the end of that season, Andie Machida received her second-career All-Northwest Conference First Team honor, and men’s first-year player Noah Henderson was named to the All-NWC Second Team

In his first season at the helm, Simons led the Puget Sound women to a postseason berth in the Northwest Conference Tournament. Both Lisa Owen and Nicole Bouche received All-NWC honors.

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Simons has competed in the USTA Zone Team Championships. Simons played collegiately at Pacific Lutheran, where he made it to the second round in both singles and doubles at the NAIA National Championships.

Staff

The coaching staff of the Wilson Collegiate Tennis Camp at Puget Sound is one of the strongest and most well-respected in the country. Consisting of top collegiate coaches and players, the staff is handpicked for their ability to teach and relate to young players in a friendly, thorough and responsible manner.

FACILITY

Adjoining the Fieldhouse is the Tennis Pavilion, housing six indoor tennis courts, three racquetball courts and an indoor climbing wall. The Logger Men’s and Women’s Tennis teams practice and play in the pavilion.

It was been recently resurfaced and is considered as one the elite court surfaces to play on in the Northwest Conference. It also hosts other school and community events such as high school tournaments, community tournaments, camps, and concerts.
