For more than 10 years, the Wilson Collegiate Tennis Camps in Coumbus, has been one of the most popular tennis camps in Central Ohio. This year we will be offering two weeks of elite tennis training and fun at Columbus Park of Roses Whetstone Tennis Courts. Led by Ashland University’s Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach Marc Wurtzman, alongside High School Tennis Coach Scott Nickel, this camp has become a must-attend summer event. Formerly hosted at Capital University, the camp caters to players of all levels with both full-day and half-day options available.
Each camper benefits from personalized attention, the latests teaching techniques, focused drill sessions, and game/match play in a supportive and competitive environment. Campers are grouped by age and skill level to ensure instruction is tailored to their abilities. Beginners focus on swing techniques and foundational skills, while advanced players work on strategy, point construction, and percentage tennis. Whether just starting out or aiming to refine your game, this camp has something for everyone.
Our tennis camps are designed to focus on the fundamentals and swing techniques of modern tennis strokes. We tailor the instruction to the skill level and experience of each level of player. Some of the areas of focus for each level include:
Beginners:
The beginning-level player will be introduced to the basics of the game. Emphasis will be placed on stroke production and the technical aspects of the swing to teach these young players sound fundamentals from the ground up.
Intermediate:
Intermediate-level players will also focus on stroke production (to ensure proper technique) and be introduced to gameplay situations to introduce these players to the competitive side of the game.
High School / Tournament:
High school (both varsity and JV) and tournament players will focus on the strategic and competitive aspects of the game. Although swing fundamentals are featured, emphasis will also feature point building, court positioning, patterns of play, and live ball drill work.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE CAMP INCLUDE:
- Comprehensive instructional program with daily teaching progressions
- Small instructional groups to ensure individual attention
- Safety prioritized on and off court
- Camp demo program with all the latest Wilson rackets
- Great Wilson Raffle and prizes for all campers

Coaches Marc and Scott were amazing!! My kids loved it and wasn't to do multiple weeks next year!! Thank you!
The kids always have a lot of fun and really enjoy the camp. They look forward to the camp every year and it’s great for us as it gets the kids off their devices and outside! Thank you!
The coaches kept the kids busy, rain or shine or 90º temperatures. my granddaughter and her friend were smiling when I picked them up every day. While my two were beginners, I could see them improve each day. It was everything I could ask for. Thank you!
