USC Elite Training Camp – Los Angeles, CA
The USC Elite Training Camp is a one-of-a-kind camp series hosted at the University of Southern California (USC). Each camp is specific with its focus, specializing in a few areas of the game that are essential to player development but often not offered to young players around the country.
This was tremendously successful last year, and this year we are offering four unique day camps at USC. Each clinic has a theme that builds off the previous clinic. Ideally, a camper would attend all four as they build on each other well. Each one does stand alone however, and provides great insight for a half-day session. Each camp focus is listed below.
Camp Program:
Building Points from the Back: Saturday August 23, 2025
This clinic focuses on the groundstroke game. Having a strong shot tolerance from the back allows players to get into patterns that expose their strengths and allow them to play on their front foot. We will work on several aspects of building points including patterns, consistency, and execution.
The first 4 shots: Saturday, September 6, 2025
This clinic focuses on the first four shots in any point- serve/return and the +1 ball. These four shots need to be played with purpose and a plan. We will work on several aspects of the first four shots including patterns, footwork and execution.
Transitions and Dictating Play: November 2, 2025
This clinic focuses on controlling the court and point play and putting together the first two clinics. In particular, we will work on taking time away, trusting offensive shots to move forward in the court, and recognizing when to come forward. We will work on several aspects of offense including taking the ball early, opening the court, and the transition game.
Putting it all Together: Saturday December 6, 2025
This clinic brings together the themes and skills from the first three camps into a comprehensive session focused on point construction, decision-making, and match play scenarios. Players will be challenged to apply their groundstroke consistency, first four shot patterns, and transition skills in live-ball drills and competitive play. We’ll emphasize recognizing patterns and executing under pressure — helping players become more complete and confident competitors.

CAMP REVIEWS
Nathan had a great time. Loved the friendly competition, games, and instructors! Thanks for a great week. He even wanted to an extra week, next year.
Gia enjoys the tennis camp so much, she made lots of friends thru playing together.
My boys had the best time and learned so much. The coaches and the staff were phenomenal and they made new friends from all different age groups and from different parts of the country. We will definitely be back next summer.
My daughter said it was not only instructive, but it was also fun! And she met other kids whom she enjoyed playing with.
My son had only played tennis once and he loved it. I think that says a lot about the type of camp it is in it’s ability to cater a good environment to all.

FACILITY

DAVID X. MARKS TENNIS STADIUM
The USC men’s and women’s tennis teams have called the David X. Marks Tennis Stadium home since its construction in 1971. This season, Trojan tennis sees its home revamped and renovated, bringing the venue up to date and in line with the impressive accomplishments of both programs. USC broke ground on the new Buntmann Family Tennis Center on Feb. 24, 2015, starting an impressive renovation project with the goal of elevating Marks Tennis Stadium to be on par with the best facilities in the country by creating an inviting, elegant, bright and safe training and competition environment.
The Buntmann Family Tennis Center entrance and lobby now welcomes fans and visitors and puts on display the rich history of USC tennis. To improve the building functionality and support the tennis program operations, the new Lisa and Douglas Goldman Family StudentAthlete Learning Studio supports direct collaboration between coaches, staff and athletes on a daily basis.
The teams are now able to utilize and enjoy brand-new suites with lockers, showers, team meeting rooms and lounges. Both teams also have access to a new training room, a stringing storage area and a large multi-purpose room. To better accommodate and enhance the spectator experience, new spectator shade canopies has been added, a new elevator to the seating area has been installed.
